Ephesians 2: 1-2 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

Each one of us were separated from God due to our sins that we have committed, and the sin nature that exists within us. These trespasses are by their very nature against God. The course of our daily lives is contrary to the righteousness of God. Each one has lived by the world’s standards and loved it. All that is of the world is energized by the prince of the power of the air, the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life. These lusts can be broken by the power of Christ’s work on Calvary.
